Former minister of internal affairs and defense, Bacho Akhalaia has been transferred to the Gldani N8 prison last night. The other convict, Gaga Mkurnalidze, who is also serving his sentence for prisoners` torture and abuse crime, was also taken from N9 prison to other penitentiary facility last night. As the Ministry of Corrections and Legal Assistance has defined, the transfer of the prisoners is tied with the rehabilitation works at the N9 prison. The total number of inmates distributed to different prisons from the N9 prison is 375. Attorneys plan to visit Bacho Akhalaia at Gldani prison today.
