Georgia`s Justice Minister meets judges

The main problem of Georgia`s ex-government was prosecutor`s office and court, Georgia`s Justice Minister Ms. Thea Tsulukiani said at the meeting with judges today.
In her introductory speech the minister disapproved the way judges used to discuss criminal cases and suggested them to cooperate with the justice ministry in order to solve the problem in the future.
At the six-hour meeting organized by the UNDP, the participants discussed the draft bill on creating a commission finding defects of the judiciary system in the country.
The minister listened to judges expressing their positions regarding the draft bill. The chair of the Supreme Court also presented his remarks regarding the draft bill. Mr.
Kote Kublashvili said in the draft document there are several articles, which do not exist at all and they put judicial security under threat.
