Ministry of Internal Affairs calls on citizens to abstain from making false notifications. Authors of false notifications will be operatively identified and bear strict punishment in full cocmpliance with the law.
False notification on terrorism is a crime envisaged by the Criminal Code of Georgia and determines up to three years of imprisonment.
In case if the author of the false notification is an under aged person the legal responsibility for such action will be imposed on parents or their guardians. Herewith, reimbursement of financial damage inflicted to organizations as a result of false alarm, will be imposed on guardians and parents as well.
Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to clarify once again that under the initiative of the Ministry the law on false notification will be amended and reinforced.
