Gogokhia family demands investigation of the death of their child
Family of Lizi Gogokhia, an 18 month old girl, who died after swallowing iron objects, arguably nails, demands rapid investigation of the death reasons and punishment of the doctors. The child was hospitalized after having the problems of breathing; doctors of the Zugdidi hospital examined the child and made echoscope diagnosis, but noticed no object in her body and discharged the patient from hospital. The family provided treatment to the child at home after noticing that she was suffocating and called for emergency ambulance again, but the child died before being transferred to the clinic. The family complains about incompetence of doctors and demands their punishment.
