Gigi Ugulava, whose authority as the mayor was suspended by Tbilisi City Court this weekend, voiced his allegations regarding the chief prosecutor Otar Partskhaladze accusing him of having criminal record for the crime committed in Germany, last night.
Ugulava said that Partskhaladze had served a term in Augsburg prison in Germany for robbery. Ugulava said that Partskhaladze was found guilty under sections 249 and 252 of the German criminal code and sentenced to one year and three months in jail; these sections deal with robbery, as well as with theft and use of force to retain stolen goods. Ugulava also said that Partskhaladze served his prison term in a penitentiary facility in Augsburg.
Ugulava called on the authorities to investigate the authenticity of his allegations and dismiss Partskhaladze.
