Prime Minister of Georgia has commented on the controversy started among the politicians regarding the possible amendments to the Law on so-called Criminal Authorities and announced that the law would not be revised or amended. Irakli Gharibashvili made this statement prior to the beginning of the government session today. According to Prime Minister, it is unintelligible for me why such irresponsible statements are made. He also emphasized that the approach of the government to the issue of "criminal authorities` for firm and it would not be revised. Prime Minister also commented on possible amendments to the Tax Code of Georgia and called on the ministers to ensure more coordination around such issues in order to avoid groundless debates among the politicians.
The failure of the international community to punish Russia for its 2008 invasion of Georgia has let Moscow think it can get away with seizing Ukraine`s Crimea region, Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili said in his interview with AFP.
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg this Spring will announce its ruling in a case Georgia has lodged against Russia concerning the deportation of Georgian citizens from Russia in 2006, Goergia`s Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani said.
