Prime Minister meets with media

16.01.14 13:45

Prime Minister of Georgia has met with the representatives of leading media organizations of Georgia. The press conference was held at the Sheraton Metekhi hotel. It started at 11:00 a.m. and lasted over two hours. Prime Minister answered 35 questions, but the most controversial for journalists was the question about the alleged criminal activities of former defense minister Davit Kezerashvili, who is currently held in pre-trial detention in France.

Prime Minister was also asked about possible changes in the cabinet as it was demanded by the opposition due to some high profile and scandalous incidents. Irakli Gharibashvili said the fact that opposition disliked the work of some of the ministers, did not mean that the cabinet would be reshuffled.

Prime Minister said he would present the new chief prosecutor in a few days.
