President of Georgia meets President of Turkey in Ankara
President of Georgia has started his state visit to Turkey. Giorgi Margvelashvili was greeted by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Turkey, Efkan Ala, mayor and governor of Ankara at the EsenbogaInternational Airport. Prior to the beginning of the official part of the visit, Georgian president laid wreaths on the grave of Ataturk, visited Ataturk Mausoleum and made a record in the memory book.
President of Georgia has held a tête-à-tête meeting with President Abdullah Gulat the Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara. The presidents discussed the issues of bilateral relations and the prospects for further cooperation. The two leaders announced that Turkey was Georgia`s strategic partner and supported Georgia`s Euro-Atlantic aspirations. The issues of economic cooperation were also discussed at the meeting. The presidents of Georgia and Turkey focused on the important projects implemented by the partner countries jointly. The tête-à-tête meeting at the Cankaya Presidential Palace continued in enlarged format with the participation of Georgian and Turkish authorities. Presidents of Georgia and Turkey completed the meetings with a joint press conference.
