NATO Military Committee has started the official two-day visit to Georgia. The delegation of the NATO military officials arrived in Tbilisi today; chief of staff of Georgian armed forces Major General Vakhtang Kapanadze, Georgia`s military envoy to NATO, Irakli Dzneladze and other officials welcomed the guests at the Tbilisi international airport. The delegation of NATO Military Committee is led by Chairman of Military Committee, General Knud Bartels, who will meet with the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili today.
Locals of the village of Ghurta of Khulo district of Adjara Region are expected to hold a large-scale protest rally. They are urging government to investigate the incident which took place in the village on March 8, 2014.

President of Georgia paid tribute to the memory of Georgian national hero, Zhiuli Shartava on his 70th anniversary. Giorgi Margvelashvili announced at the memorial today that by commemorating Zhiuli Shartava, he was also paying tribute to all, who fell in the tragedy of Abkhazia.
