President`s report to parliament scheduled for Feb.21
It has been already announced that the president of Georgia will deliver a speech before Georgian lawmakers on February 21st. The format of the report has not been determined yet. The majority and the minority have to agree on the format of the report. The ruling party members say they are waiting for the initiatives of the opposition, while the United National Movement proposes holding debates after the president`s report. The opposition wants to put questions to the president about the electoral code, self-government elections and foreign threats. The opposition also wants to hear definitions by the president regarding the recent political developments inside the country.
The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg this Spring will announce its ruling in a case Georgia has lodged against Russia concerning the deportation of Georgian citizens from Russia in 2006, Goergia`s Justice Minister Thea Tsulukiani said.
