Reinforced Platoon of the 13th Battalion of I Infantry Brigade of GAF returned to homeland from Afghanistan. Military servicemen of “Shavnabada” battalion had been carrying out ISAF international mission under the U.S. Command on the base “Phoenix” for 8 months. The main task of the Georgian soldiers was providing security measures of the U.S. base. Peacekeeping unit of the 13th battalion replaced the reinforced platoon of the same battalion. The official replacement ceremony was held at the base “Phoenix” a week ago.
Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili has left for New York to participate in the 69th session of the UN General Assembly and other events. Irakli Gharibashvili will deliver a speech at the Assembly on September 26th.
