Georgia informs Google about mistake

25.04.14 10:00

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia has already contacted the Google internet portal company and provided information about the political status of Georgia`s occupied region of Abkhazia, which was included in the list of the states provided by the Google Voice communication service.
Minister Maia Panjikidze has defined that such mistakes often happen, but they are afterwards corrected and so this is not the issue to worry about.
`Such mistakes sometimes really happen; sometimes the information portals publish inaccurate list of countries and such mistakes used to happen earlier too. We always contact the source of information in such cases and as usual, these mistakes are corrected. This is not an issue deserving great concerns, because it really may happen that Abkhazia or South Ossetia may be included in the list of independent states, but when we provide them with official information, these inaccuracies are usually corrected. This is the same case too. We have already provided them with information,` Panjikidze said.
