The issues of Georgia`s European integration and Georgia-U.S. relationship were discussed at the meeting between Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze and U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland in Washington on Wednesday. The situation on Georgia`s occupied territories was also discussed along with the continuation of the non-recognition policy by the United States. The Georgian Foreign Minister welcomed the statement of the President Barack Obama, which implies to maintain military contingent in Afghanistan after the conclusion of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) mission, in accordance with the Bilateral Security Agreement with Afghan side. Maia Panjikidze said Georgia stood ready to continue contributing to this extremely important mission.
