Armenian President on official visit in Georgia
During his official visit in Georgia President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan held his first meeting with President of Georgia, Giorgi Margvelashvili.
Along with deepening trade and economic cooperation, the two presidents discussed the different foreign choices made by the two countries.
"I believe that Georgia which is signing the Association Agreement with EU on June 27 will become an integral part of the free trade agreement and this will be a good possibility including our entrepreneurs and investigations between our countries are going to increase. Meanwhile, Armenia`s membership of the Eurasian Economic Union would become a prospect for those Georgian entrepreneurs, who want to make investments in Armenia", the Armenian president said.
"As you know, Georgia is signing the Association Agreement on June 27 and our neighbors are joining the Customs Union. I`d like to stress that these steps will be followed only by positive result for the future of the both countries", President Margvelashvili said.
As reported, along with Georgian entrepreneurs, parliament members also intend to visit Armenia to explore the new political reality. Representatives of the ruling party as well as the opposition said that membership of different unions should not obstacle the cooperation between the two countries.
The Armenian president will meet with the prime minister of Georgia tomorrow morning.
Serzh Sargsyan will leave Tbilisi tomorrow.
