Patrol police to leave prisons today

Groups of patrol police will leave prisons today - Minister of Corrections and Legal Assistance of Georgia said the system is under full control of the police; the process of improvement of the conditions in prisons will be eventually improved.

Giorgi Tughushi said the changes will be implemented in all other penitentiary facilities after the Gldani prison eventually and the system will be completely reformed. Interim Minister has also spoken about the systemic reform of the penitentiary system. Eka Zghuladze was invited to the weekly analytical program P.S. broadcast on Rustavi2 yesterday.

Interim Minister says if it was possible to reform police and clear it from corruption and violence, it will be also possible in the penitentiary system. Eka Zghuladze also spoke about the upcoming parliamentary elections saying conduct of elections in fair and peaceful environment was the priority of the interior ministry.
