Georgian Dream activists thratens to sue TV reporter

Activist of the Georgian Dream coalition having won parliamentary elections in Georgia threatens to sue the reporter of Rustavi 2 TV-station. Mikheil Amashukeli, who was released from the pre-trial detention told the Kutaisi bureau reporter of the TV-channel that he was detained after the footage recorded by him was aired.
Mikheil Meskhi and Zaza AmbrolaZe along with Mikheil Amashukeli was detained on the same accusation that is attempted bribery of voters and also released today. Both of them refuse the accusation.
The three activists were detained during handing out so-called dream cards during the electoral campaign. They used to convince voters to fill in the cards with names of domestic appliances and the Georgian Dream coalition would fulfill their wishes after winning teh parliamentary elections. They were pleaded guilty of bribing voters and sent to pre-trial detention for three months.
Georgian Dream`s MP candidates for single-mandate constituencies Tea Tsulukiani and Eka Beselia attended the release process of the activists. The MP candidates said the court acted without the government`s pressure and it made a right step by releasing the activists.
