UNM activist alleges GD activists of assault

Activist of the United National Movement Tsotne Gvasalia says he was assaulted by five persons, asserting they were the activists of the Georgian Dream Coalition. He says they insulted him verbally first and the beat him up so that Gvasalia was transferred to hospital with numerous injuries and brain concussion.

Leaders of the United National Movement visited the patient at hospital late last night. They demanded immediate investigation of the crime. Tsotne Gvasalia is the head of the youth branch of the United National Movement in Krtsanisi district.

Georgian Dream has commented on the incident. Single-mandate MP candidate Shota Khabareli held a special briefing today in this regards. He condemned the fact of violence and demanded punishment of the culprit after investigation.
