The leaders of the Georgian Dream coalition, who accompanied Bidzina Ivanishvili during the meeting with President Saakashvili today left the president`s palace without comments, however, they expressed their impression of the fact itself a bit later. Irakli Gharibashvili, who has been nominated as the future minister of internal affairs in the new cabinet, said the meeting was very fruitful and constructive; Irakli Alasania, who will be the vice prime minister and the minister of defense, spoke about the meaning of this meeting as a very important step made by both sides. Sozar Subari, who will be the minister of the penitentiary, said the working groups held a separate meeting, while Saakashvili and Ivanishvili negotiated tête-à-tête. `We know actually the issues, which were discussed at the meeting, however, the statements made after this meeting are sufficient at the moment and if they decide to tell the society more about this meeting, it is up to them,` Sozar Subari said. The leaders of the United National Movement have also hailed the meeting as a democratic process of power transition, however disapproved the statement of Ivanishvili saying it sounded more like a speech of a political party leader then of a person, who should assume a very meaningful position soon. `Today the responsibility of both sides for peaceful development of the country was shown once again. I think that the statement of the president was inspired with recognition of this responsibility, that for us the interests of the country are more important than those of the party,` Davit Bakradze said. Pavle Kublashvili said he would wish to hear statements from Ivanishvili about his vision on specific issues, and not the statements of a political party leader.
