Georgia`s new parliament to hold first session tomorrow

Members of the 8th convocation of the Georgian parliament will assemble in the city of Kutaisi on October 21. The first session will start at 13:00 p.m. tomorrow.

Construction and preparation works are still underway in the new building of the parliament in Kutaisi.

Organizational issues will be discussed at the first session, which will be headed by the oldest member of the parliament.

A chairperson, vice-speakers of teh parliament, heads of factions and committees will be elected at tomorrow`s session.

Honorable guests will also be invited to the parliament. Among them will be Georgia`s Catholicos Patriarch Ilia II, also representatives of various religions, ambassador and other representatives of teh diplomatic corps of Georgia.

Candidate for Georgia`s Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili will also attend the session in the capacity of a guest.
