Cabinet`s session accompanied by protest rallies

The new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia met today at the state chancellery. At the three-hour meeting the state budget, people affected by natural disasters, accommodation problems of internally displaced people and socially vulnerable citizens ere discussed.

The cabinet has already drafted a plan for resolving problems concerning socially vulnerable people and IDPs. The healthcare minister said about 1660 people have broken into 46 facilities. He said social agents have already entered 16 facilities. They are filling out special blanks to ascertain details of teh conditions of the socially vulnerable citizens.

As reported, all socially vulnerable families will be provided with accommodation fees from the next week.

The government`s session was accompanied by protest rallies outside the chancellery all day long. Representatives of socially vulnerable families urged the government for improvement their living conditions and providing them with accommodations.

They submitted a special statement with the same demands to the state chancellery today. The representatives of the vulnerable families urge for creating a new commission which would work on resolution of their problems.
