Hunger Strike at Poti Port continues

02.11.12 11:37

Former employs of the Poti Port, who joined the current ones on strike yesterday, have gone on hunger strike today. They assembled outside the administration office and prevented the managers from entering the office. The security guards of the office tried to discharge the situation and free the way to managers towards the building, but their attempt to calm down the tension, grew into a row.
Over 400 employs of the Port were dismissed last year. They say the administration sacked them without explaining the reasons of the decision. The hunger strikers demand revision of their cases and return to their jobs.
