Georgia`s interim and candidate for Interior Minister hold face-to-face meeting

The first face-to-face meeting between the candidate and the interim interior ministers of Georgia on their decision was held today not in teh ministry but at a neutral site - Tbilisi Marriott Hotel.
The interim and the future ministers discussed all the issues concerning the interior ministry, including its structure and budget. Eka Zguladze and Irakli Garibashvili also talked about the reforms carried out in the ministry so far.
"The ministry continues to adhere to the same policy. I was very pleased to hear that the new minister has absolutely the same view and he will continue to take care of private citizens, take care of the public order and maintain the high level of security we have gained in this country", she said.
Mrs. Zguladze said some reorganizations are expected in teh ministry that is quite natural, although she is pride of the system that has been created in the ministry. "The new minister also appreciates a lot of those successes, structural as well as concerning certain cases, which the ministry has offered in the capacity of certain results.
"It has been a very constructive, business-like and fruitful meeting. I think the process of handing over teh authority will continue very well, without any tension or excesses", Irakli Garibashvili said.
