23.10.12 18:00

Candidates of the ministers in Georgia`s new government have presented their programs to the lawmakers in the Kutaisi parliament since the morning today.

The ministers` candidates are reporting not only the program of the Georgian Dream coalition, but specific reforms, which they plan to undertake after assuming the offices.
Future minister of interior Irakli Gharibashvili says his first task as the minister will be de-politicizing of the police structure. He says the reforms are also planned in the structure of the interior ministry, however, any reform and any change should be implemented gradually, without incidents and staff cut. He says not a single employ will be dismissed from their jobs unfairly.

Candidate for the minister of IDPs and resettlement says the ministry will work to provide IDPs with apartments or monetary compensation for providing normal living conditions to these people.

Candidate for the minister of foreign affairs Maia Panjikidze says the foreign policy priorities will remain unchanged and the main focus will be made on European and Euro-Atlantic integration, however, development of relations with neighbors, Armenia Azerbaijan and Turkey as well as attempts to settle relations with Russia will be also top priority of the ministry work.
