Ivanishvili answered questions of minority

Prime Minister`s candidate Bidzina Ivanishvili went to the parliament of Georgia in Kutaisi today to answer the questions of the parliamentary minority. The questions mostly referred to the pre-election program of the Georgian Dream coalition and the deadlines, when these promises should be implemented.
The session was chaired by the leader of the parliamentary minority, former speaker Davit Bakradze. The questions of the minority referred to the details of the implementation of universal insurance program, reform of the health care sector, a billion dollar program of the agriculture development, reduction of credit interest, reduction of communal tariffs, growth of pensions, improvement of living conditions for IDPs.
Bidzina Ivanishvili failed to specify the deadlines when these programs would be implemented; however, he said that after reviewing budget parameters, the alternative sources would be found to implement these programs. He added that this will be carried out only with legal means.
`As for the source, when we were talking about a billion dollar program of the agriculture development, we did not have information about the budget parameters, I meant additional sources beyond the state budget, which will be found out to fund these programs,` Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
When questioned about the reduction of loan interests in banks, Ivanishvili said this process could not take place artificially and only market and economics should become the grounds for such changes.
`However, the conditions which we are going to begin in economics and the attraction of investments, should influence this process,` Ivanishvili answered.
Ivanishvili also answered the question about the problems of territorial integrity and said that with correct acts, decisions and diplomatic relations, the territorial integrity would be restored, adding the key to this problem was to be found inside the country.
MP Giorgi Karbelashvili reminded the candidate for prime minister about his statement made earlier that he would defect from politics in two years. Ivanishvili said one year had already passed since he announced that he was coming into politics, but he would do this one year and a half after the elections.
`However, I am not going to leave Georgia. I will leave the team, which will fulfill all our promises and I am not lifting my responsibility about my words. I am going to remain one of the most active members of the civil sector and together with the civil society, I will control the government which I will leave, because the lack of experience in Georgia`s civil society is very serious proble, today. We should not be in the regime of expecting a good leader and a good president. We should learn how to elect, how to control, in order to get a society of European type. I deem this is possible in two decades,` Ivanishvili said.
