Georgia`s parliament approves new government

Georgia has a new government. The new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers is as follows:
Prime Minister - Mr. Bidzina Ivanishvili; Vice Prime Minister and Defense Minister - Mr. Irakli Alasania; Vice Prime Minister and Energy Minister - Mr. Kakha Kaladze; Finance Minister - Mr. Nodar Khaduri; Foreign Minister - Ms. Maia Panjikidze; Justice Minister - Ms. Tea Tsulukiani; Refugees and Accommodation Minister - Mr. Davit Darakhvelidze; Interior Minister - Mr. Irakli Gharibashvili; Minister for Economy and Sustainable Development - Mr. Griogi Kvirikashvili; Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development - Davit Narmania; Environment Minister - Ms. Khatuna Gogoladze; Minister for Labour, Health and Social Affairs - Mr. Davit Sergienko; Education and Science Minister - Giorgi Margvelashvili; State Minister for Reintegration Issues - Mr. Paata Zakareishvili; State Minister for Diaspora Issues - Mr. Kote Surguladze; State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration - Mr. Aleksi Petriashvili, Minister for Corrections and Legal Assistance - Mr. Sozar Subari; Minister for Culture and Monument Protection - Mr. Guram Odisharia; Agriculture Minister - Mr. Davit Kirvalidze; Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs - Mr. Levan Kipiani; Employment Minister - Mr. Kakha Sakandelidze.
The Georgian parliament approved the new government and its program at the plenary session today. 88 MPs gave their votes of confidence to the new Cabinet of Ministers presented by the Georgian Dream Coalition. 54 MPs voted against the new composition and the new program.
The parliamentary minority did not support the new government.
After having been elected a new prime-minister, Bidzina Ivanishvili made his first statement in the capacity of a head of teh government. He said the first step the new cabinet intends to make is to reform healthcare, education and agriculture fields.
