Finance Minister presents head of Investigation Department
Kakha Kakabadze has been appointed the chief of the investigation department of the ministry of finance. Minister Nodar Khaduri introduced the new chief to his staff today and said that the key instruction given to the office would be to harmonize its work with the work of incomes office. `Law should be law for everyone. The business sector should acknowledge that tax evasion is an act, which will be punished. The taxes should be paid,` the minister said and added that the investigation department would never be used for political motives. Nodar Khaduri asked Kakha Kakabadze to `make friends with businessmen`.
Nine persons have been arrested within the investigation launched after finding the scandalous videos of human torture and sexual abuse. The videos were along weapons and drugs in a secret store in Samegrelo last week.
