The government of Japan will allocate 7,3 million GEL grant for the development of agriculture sector in Georgia. The grant will be spent on the purchase of modern agricultural machinery and equipments intended for Georgian farmers. Japan has been implementing the grant program in Georgia since 1997; the country has received up to 50 million GEL grant since then.
Georgian wine may return to Russian market on New Year - Russia`s chief sanitarian Genady Onishchenko has said, adding there are no artificial obstructions for bringing wine and Georgian mineral water back to Russia.

Russia`s chief sanitarian Genady Onishchenko says he is prepared for negotiations with Georgian wine maker companies for the return of their product to Russian markets. Onishchenko told Russian media that invitation would be sent to Georgian companies after the documents received from them are studied in details.
