Situation remains tense in breakaway Tskhinvali Region
Situation remains tense in the occupied Tskhinvali Region, where the puppet regime is preparing for a repeat election of so-called president. So-called interim president Vladimir Brovstev has urged the lawmakers to dismiss prosecutor general.
Brovtsev said 98% of the population demands resignation of prosecutor general Teimuraz Khugaev adding the regulations should be amended when it is requested by people. Resignation of the prosecutor general was one of the key terms of the agreement signed by the winner of the previous presidential elections Alla Jioeva and the previous leader of the puppet regime, Eduard Kokoity. The document was signed after the results of the election were annulled by the supreme court of the puppet government.
Alla Jioeva won the elections and was preparing for her inaugural ceremony, but a day before, on February 9, she was assaulted and the ceremony was disrupted. Jioeva was hospitalized with injuries and since then she was undergoing treatment at the Tskhinvali hospital.
