CDM leader attends Traditional Prayer Breakfast in Washington

The leader of the Christian Democratic Movement of Georgia attended President`s annual National Prayer Breakfast in Washington on Thursday. The breakfast, which has been held for past 60 years, was attended by leading politicians, representatives of religious and business sectors. President Obama addressed the people assembled at the breakfast and spoke about global challenges. Within the visit to the United States, Giorgi Targamadze and the Party`s International Secretary held meetings in U.S. Congress, Department of State, National-Democratic and Republican Institutes, governmental structures. The leader of the CDM has also met with Georgian Diaspora in Washington.
The representatives of the Patriarch`s administration will join the negotiations between Georgia and Turkey regarding the restoration of Georgian historic monuments on the current territory of Turkey. This decision was taken at the meeting of the Minister of Culture with the Patriarch of All Georgia, Ilia II.
The Georgian PM also said the process of restoring Ishkhani and Oshki on the territory of Turkey will be observed by Georgian experts. While the Georgian party promised Turkey to take care of Turkish monuments in Georgia.
Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has paid one-day official visit to Turkey on February 14. During today`s visit PM Ivanishvili met with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Parliamentary Speaker Cemil Çiçek.
