Donald Trump on his visit in Georgia

American Billionaire Donald Trump arrived in Tbilisi today. The billionaire intends to make the first multi-million investments in Georgia and carry out the large-scale project, which implies construction of the highest building in Batumi, the Black Sea town of Georgia. He has been holding meetings in Tbilisi all day long.

Donald Trump was met in Tbilisi International airport by Georgia`s Economy Minister and representatives of the Silk Road Group Company at 12 a.m. today.

During his meetings, the billionaire stressed that he arrived in Georgia on his own initiative. He said the main goal of his visit is to carry out large-scale projects in teh country and plan future cooperations.

Georgia is the only country, in which Donald Trump decided to make a USD 250-million investment. The businessperson is expected to fund construction of Trump Tower in Batumi. The project was signed by Donald Trump and the head of teh Silk Road Group in New York in March 2011. President Saakashvili also attended the signing ceremony. Mr. Trump said he arrived at the decision due to the reforms that have been carried out in Georgia and due to his personal relations with Mikheil Saakashvili.

The Trump Tower is planned to be constructed in the center of Batumi. The 50-storey building will comprise dwelling apartments, penthouses. In the vicinity of the tower cafes, bars, yacht-clubs will be constructed.

Donald Trump walked along the streets of Tbilisi today. Tbilisi Mayor guided the businessperson around Old Tbilisi district.

Donald Trump is expected to stay in Georgia for two days. Tomorrow he is going to Batumi to attend the presentation of the Trump Tower project there.
