Control Chamber publishes results of financial monitoring

Finances Monitoring Department of the Chamber of Control has published results of the financial monitoring conducted in the financial transactions of the ruling party National Movement and a new political union Georgian Dream, founded by Bidzina Ivanshvili.
Chamber of Control checked up the financial declarations of the two political organizations, concluding that the ruling party had all financial documents in order, meetings the requirements of law, however, the transactions of 95,848 GEL to the party accounts, which was transferred by several other individual entities, might be in f act transferred by one donator. The Chamber of Control has instructed the ruling party to transfer this money to the state budget. The ruling party authorities say they are prepared to follow the instructions of the Control Chamber.
The same office has reported violations about illegal transactions to the accounts of the Georgian Dream movement. Control Chamber authorities define that such a transaction took place a few weeks ago - namely, one employ was paid unusually high bonus - 40,000 GEL, 20 thousands of which the employ transferred to the account of the Georgian Dream movement. Control Chamber doubts it might have been a machination and calls on the leaders of the movement to return those 20,000 GEL to the employ of the Kartu Mshenebeli Company.
Georgian Dream authorities replied to the demands of the Control Chamber today, saying they aren`t going to follow its instructions and return the money back.
