16 year-old girl saved while trying to commit a suicide

A 16 year-old girl, who was going to jump from the balcony of the 17-th floor in Temka district, Tbilisi today, was saved by rescuers. Reportedly, the girl decided to commit a suicide after a clash with her boyfriend.
Police officers, emergency brigades and rescuers worked a whole hour to make the girl change her mind; the girl left consciousness and the rescuers could take her down from the balcony. The girl was transferred to a hospital. Doctors say she is safe now.
A ten year-old boy was raped by a grown-up man in Kakheti Region. The crime was committed in a village of the Gurjaani district of the region. Regional prosecutor says the defendant was earlier convicted, but was dismissed from prison under the amnesty a few months ago.
Georgian Young Lawyers` Association NGO plans to address the Chief Prosecutor of Georgia officially against today. The NGO asks for conducting an independent expertise of the corpses of seven Chechens, who were killed in the Lapankuri anti-terror operation conducted in the Pankisi Gorge last summer.
Russian occupants have arrested one more peaceful resident of the Kaspi district. Vasil Salamashvili, 32, is from the village Sakorintlo and was reportedly, travelling to the occupied territory to visit his mother who lives beyond the administrative border.
