Explosive device found in Zugdidi undergoing examination

The explosive device found outside the Prosecutor`s Office in the town of Zugdidi close to occupied Abkhazia is undergoing an examination. According to preliminary reports, it is a handmade device, which has been sent to the laboratory for further examination of its chemical composition.
The territory in the vicinity of the prosecutor`s office was closed by law enforcers for few hours after the device had been found.
Officers of the Sapping Centre of Georgia`s Interior Ministry were able to utilize the explosive device in few minutes.
Representatives of the Constitutional Security Department detained the suspect of the attempted explosion today, although they refrain from naming him.
According to some reports, the detainee smuggled explosive device from occupied Abkhazia to the Georgian-controlled territory.
