Tbilisi City Court will send the appeal of the lawyer of former minister of interior and defense Bacho Akhalaia, to the Tbilisi Appeals Court, which in its turn has 72 hours for discussing the document. Davit Dekanoidze is appealing the ruling of the Tbilisi City Court, which sent former minister to pre-trial detention for the second time after considering new accusations of the prosecutor`s office. Bacho Akhalaia was charged with abuse of duties, illegal confinement and torture of soldiers. MP from the parliamentary minority, Akaki Minashvili does not rule out the transfer of the former minister from N7 prison to another penitentiary facility, arguing he cannot be safe in that prison.
