MFA sends official note to Russia
11.04.12 10:55
The graves of Georgian royal dynasty are being destructed in Moscow`s suburb. Local church servicemen in the village of Vsesviatskoe, where the members of the royal families were buried since the rule of Ivan the Terrible, have begun to construct product depots. Several graves have been almost destructed during the construction works, which are absolutely unlicensed. Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already sent an official note via Swiss embassy to the Russian side calling for suspension of the construction works and protection of the royal cemetery. After the dispute of the cemetery is clarified, Georgian side plans to apply to the Russian government and demand transfer of the graves of the royal dynasty members from Russia to Georgia.
