The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia has nominated the best candidates for the following categories:
•The best school student: Tamaz Baghdavadze, eleventh grader of village of Makharadze public school in Gurjaani municipality;
•The best teacher: Lia Kobesashvili, Math teacher in Tbilisi public school#76;
•The best teacher: Teona Jugheli, a participant of Georgian Language for Future Success program, who teaches Georgian language in Foka school, Ninotsminda municipality.
•The best volunteer teacher, Jason David Brendon, TLG volunteer who teaches in first public school in the village of Mukhrani, Mtskheta Municipality;
•The best school principal: David Lagvilava, Tbilisi public school#51;
•The best resource officers: Gela Begdarashvili, (Tbilisi public school#76); Babilina Barkaia- (Zugdidi public school#8); Paata Nanava ( Kutaisi public school#23);
•The best public school- Rustavi public school#4;
•The best private school, - "Albioni”
•The best director of educational resource center (ERC)- Nino Shengelia, Samtredia ERC;
Dimitri Shashkini awarded the winners with the special prizes.
The Ministry will continue to encourage successful teachers, students and principals in order to further motivate them.
