Christian Democratic Party urges for erecting monument to writer in Tbilisi

Representatives of the Christian Democratic Party urge for erecting a monument to famous Georgian writer Alexander Kazbegi. The party members held Thursday a protest rally in a park in Kazbegi Avenue (named after teh famous writer) of Tbilisi.
The rally participants said Alexander Kazbegi is the only Georgian writer, whose statue has not been installed in the Georgian capital.
The Christian Democrats also presented a model of Kazbegi`s possible monument at the rally and addressed the mayor`s office with a proposal of erecting the monument in the Red Garden of Tbilisi.
Representatives of teh Mayor`s Office said today a special council is supposed to discuss the Christian Democrats` demand only after receiving a relevant statement.
Minister of Culture of Georgia Guram Odisharia has introduced his four deputies to Georgian society today. The first deputy minister is Aleksandre Margishvili. Other deputies are Khatuna Khundadze, Marine Mizandari and Iuri Mechitov.
