Georgian scientists consider Georgian honey older than Egyptian

A fascinating opening has been recently made in Georgia that has forced Georgian archaeologists consider that the Georgian honey is 2 thousand years older that the Egyptian one.
So far, it has been considered that the first sample of honey was found in ancient Egyptian Pharaoh King Tut’s tomb.
The recent discoveries have shown that the honey found on the territory of Georgia is 5,500 years old, while the Egyptian honey is 3,500 years old.
The honey was found in a noble woman`s sepulcher, which was discovered during the construction works of the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline in 2003. The sepulcher was already robbed, although scientists were able to find the honey remains on the inner surface of the vessels discovered in the sepulcher.
