Construction of Hotel Radisson starts in Tsinandali

Construction of Radisson Hotel according to the project by architect of Donald Trump`s company John Fotiadis has started in the town of Tsinandali of Kakheti Region in Eastern Georgia. President Saakashvili visited the town today to see the start of the construction.
Mikheil Saakashvili said two new hotels will be opened in the town of Kvareli in fall 2012. He said one of them is being constructed by businessperson Gia Piradashvili and the other one is being constructed by the Justice Training Center and the Holiday Inn Company.
According to the president several hotels are also being constructed in the town of Akhtala and one in Lagodekhi reservation. In the town of Telavi the Intourist hotel will be replaced by the American brand Blue Western.
"In terms of employment, tourism is the fastest way bringing economic success and welfare for each family", he said.
The Radisson Hotel will be a four-storey building with 100 rooms. The building has been designed in Georgian traditional style. At the same time, the old wine factory will be also rehabilitated within the Tsinandali rehabilitation project. Wine cellars will be returned their original design. The hotel is due to be opened in a year.
