Rustavi 2 celebrates 18-th anniversary

Broadcasting Company Rustavi 2 has become 18 today. The history of the company began in 1994 in the city of Rustavi. Its primary staff consisted of 30 employees, who were equipped with two video cameras. The company was operating in four rooms.
Since its foundation, the Rustavi2 faced the threat of closure three times. First, when the company moved from the city of Rustavi to Tbilisi and in several years it has become the leader of Georgian media market.
The company was always actively involved in the covering of all political and social processes, which conditioned the development of the country. Since the day of its founding, the company has been developing, offering numerous new projects to its spectators. Rustavi2 was the first to air reality shows.
In 2011, the company moved to a new modern office and began to broadcast from new studios with new projects and popular shows. TV programs - Other News, Fortune Wheel and Midday was added to the TV schedule then. The company`s morning show Good Morning Georgia, most popular news program Courier and Business Courier has been the favorite of the spectators for years.
