The heads of the Georgian and Russian delegations met at the Council of Europe headquarters in Strasburg on Wednesday. The meeting was held in the office of the president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Jean Claude Mignon, who was the initiator of the discussion. The members of the Georgian delegation reiterated the position of the Georgian government that it is still open for dialogue with the Russian side, though only after it fulfils the terms of the six-point agreement. Georgian side believes that without accession of European monitors to the occupied territories, negotiations with the Russian side would be useless.
