SFF offers UEFA to host Euro 2012

01.05.12 14:06

Spanish Football Federation president Angel Maria Villar has reportedly made an offer to stage Euro 2012 this summer. The tournament, which starts next month, is scheduled to be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland, but last week`s bombings in Dnepropetrovsk have sparked serious security concerns. In addition, some European leaders object to mistreatment towards the ex-prime minister Yulia Timoshenko who is held in Kharkov prison currently and refuse to arrive in the country.
UEFA authorities have already responded to the offer of the SFF, saying it is unreal to change the host country in such a short period of time- 39 days until the opening of the Europe 2012 championship.
