Georgian Labour Party not to abandon politics

11.06.12 17:13

Leader of the Georgian Labour Party denies that he is abandoning politics. Shalva Natelashvili said at the briefing today that the party is actively working and preparing for the forthcoming parliamentary elections planned for October this year.

"I`d like to emphasize that the Labour Party does not belong to anyone, but it is an organization created in result of the political fight carried out by whole Georgia. The party has never withdrawn before anyone in the fight for interests of the nation and the people and it will never collapse until Georgia exists;

"I will not go anywhere until I enjoy two presidential terms;

"The pre-election start has been anounced since today. There is nothing much to choose. There are two forces - us or them - no one else! I`m confident all Georgian citizens who can`t be sold will stand with us!" he said.

Shalva Natelashvili at the briefing also named those persons, who are going to head regional headquarters of the party during the pre-election campaign.
